We're going to put them out together, lol.

I've always gotten into the hanging habit... holding things for way too long without a release. Def a hard habit to break because it's so sneaky when it comes back!Codex Dressagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04736021620789376995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4010353728052033100.post-23749906357105277722017-05-02T11:17:10.846-04:002017-05-02T11:17:10.846-04:00I don't usually struggle this much with new ap...I don't usually struggle this much with new approaches to concepts... but this one really got me. I'm glad I got something out of it, but I'm holding off on a second lesson until after shows. I have to have a stable place to show off of, and she's more into tearing down and fixing (which is good), but not what I need this month. There's plenty of time for that after May!Codex Dressagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04736021620789376995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4010353728052033100.post-56431994376778294622017-05-02T09:59:14.179-04:002017-05-02T09:59:14.179-04:00That garden ornament is amazing!!That garden ornament is amazing!!LoveLaughRidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04408180801317705985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4010353728052033100.post-15734661967000054162017-05-02T06:59:42.778-04:002017-05-02T06:59:42.778-04:00Omg that cat garden ornament. My trainer is constantly telling me to be quicker in my aids and responses and not to drag everything out or get stuck. It's a hard habit hahaemmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05686949099663199382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4010353728052033100.post-23850889222920790852017-05-01T19:17:12.950-04:002017-05-01T19:17:12.950-04:00Sounds like a tough, and maybe weird?, lesson but ...Sounds like a tough, and maybe weird?, lesson but that you took something out of it. I'd be curious what a second lesson with her would be like. I'd have really struggled in that environment because I struggle with completely new topics especially if it's in a clinic environment with people watching.Piccoloponyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08275679567725425281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4010353728052033100.post-10620512973147093352017-05-01T12:39:57.482-04:002017-05-01T12:39:57.482-04:00Exactly! I wouldn't mind the rein length if it didn't come with a heavy dose of on the forehand. He's already built downhill, there's no reason to allow him to run around on it!

It did help, and I'm more aware of what I'm doing, and he's been quite relaxed, flexible, and responsive. I am not lessoning with her again until after these few shows pass by though, I can't have a tear down the work happen 3 days before a show. The 3 weeks before this one coming up was barely enough time!Codex Dressagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04736021620789376995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4010353728052033100.post-27075507199126802712017-05-01T10:10:15.031-04:002017-05-01T10:10:15.031-04:00And once again we had the same lesson! Even when BM is yelling at me to give him more length, I'm like, "Yeah, but how 'bout not?" Carlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17308477892024999793noreply@blogger.com
