I'll be posting updates for sure!Codex Dressagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04736021620789376995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4010353728052033100.post-9795843003908609892015-02-09T11:59:57.490-05:002015-02-09T11:59:57.490-05:00Mikey's been on stall rest before- a couple ye...Mikey's been on stall rest before- a couple years ago he really did in his old bow and had to be in the box for 3 months or something. But he was also allowed hand walking if he was going to be silly in there. He's a bit of a weenie, and it's winter, so I'm thinking since my trainer moved his stall to the one that's pictured (so he can see Cody and look outside while he's on stall rest), he'll get a taste of the outside and go hmm, I'd rather be in my warm cozy box! Let's eat hay!

I absolutely loved riding Cody! I'm a much better rider than the last time I rode him, I can do a little work on myself to try and learn his buttons and be more tactful so when Mikey *crosses fingers* comes back to work I can bring the good riding to him. I hope I can ride him a little after his rest period after Rolex. If Mikey doesn't come back to competition soundness and has to be a pleasure pony the rest of his life, I'm kind of hoping I can borrow Cody to try and finish my bronze medal before he's sold. It would put another feather in his for sale cap if an amateur can take him to a USDF show and finish her bronze on him! Plus I can't afford a second horse, and I'd never sell Mikey, so my dressage career would be over until my situation changed. There's plenty of horses to ride (my trainer has a whole string going), but they're all on the event horse path and I don't think I could swing a lease on a horse I could do straight dressage with.Codex Dressagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04736021620789376995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4010353728052033100.post-7706474120122150642015-02-09T10:46:46.520-05:002015-02-09T10:46:46.520-05:00Yay Mikey! What ...Yay Mikey! Stay sane in the box, buddy! :)

What a cool ride on your trainer's horse. Picky horses are my favorite (this is obvious, if you'd ever ridden my horse). I love watching Rolex, so it's really exciting that he's aimed there. You'll have to keep us updated on him!Austenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13004088333430762406noreply@blogger.com
