Eli and I had a rough start together. I was unconfident after being without a riding horse for 8 months and after 2 sales horses dumped me, and that was all after tack walking for almost a year. I got some help for my own mental health and took lessons when I could get them, and we've been slowly climbing up out of that hole.
Eli had several training holes to fix: plowing down on the forehand, pulling himself along with his front legs, curling, hiding from the bit, and running forward when he lost his balance. We spent about a year and a half solidifying his basics and managing his health and wellness before testing our skills in the show world in April 2021.

Winter 2020-2021 wasn't nearly as rough as 2019-2020, but we still had some troubles make I finally started making solid deposits to the trust bank, and things started coming together. In April 2021, I made an impulse decision to sign up for a recognized show after being unable to find a suitable schooling venue to go to.
